Cover-More “NRL GRAND FINAL PROMOTION" Competition Terms and Conditions
- These Terms and Conditions apply to the “NRL GRAND FINAL PROMOTION” Competition(“Competition”). By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
- Entries must comply with these Terms and Conditions to be valid.
- The Promoter is Cover-More Insurance Services Pty Ltd ABN 95 003 114 145 of Zurich Tower, Level 12, 118 Mount Street, North Sydney NSW 2060. (“Promoter”). [TP 25/02015, T25/1524]
- The Competition commences at [12:00am] (AEST) on [ 1 September 2025] and closes at [11:59pm] (AEST) on [22 September 2025] (“Competition Period”).
- The total value of the Prize for the Competition is $7,500 AUD.
- The Competition is a game of chance.
How to enter
- Entry into the Competition is only open to Australian citizens, residents and eligible work or study visa holders aged 18 years or over. (“Eligible Entrants”).
- Eligible Entrants must not be an employee of the Promoter or its related entities and must not have any immediate family members who are employees of the Promoter or its related entities. Immediate family means spouse, de facto spouse, child or stepchild (whether natural or by adoption), parent or step parent, brother, sister, step brother or step sister.
- An Eligible Entrant will be automatically entered into the Competition when they purchase a policy on covermore.virginaustralia.com, virginaustralia.com/au/en/ or Cover-More Virgin Australia Travel insurance products, issued via the Call Centre on 1300 135 769 during the Competition Period (“Eligible Policy”). If Entrants into enter the Competition but no longer wish to participate, they can email [email protected] to be removed from the Competition.
- Eligible Entrants can only enter the Competition once.
- Eligible Entrants are responsible for their own costs associated with entering the Competition.
- Eligible Entrants who use automatically generated entries or multiple aliases, may be disqualified from the Competition.
- The Eligible Policy must be active or completed at the time of the Prize draw.
Prize Draw and Redemption
- This is a game of chance and skill plays no part in determining the winner.
- The Prize draw will take place on [Wednesday 24 September 2025] at 11:00am (AEST) on randomdraws.com.au at location Level 12 118 Mount Street, North Sydney, NSW, 2060. All decisions of the Promoter are final, and no discussions or correspondence will be entered into by the Promoter. The Promoter may draw additional reserve entries and record them in order in case an invalid entry or ineligible Entrant is drawn.
- There is one prize to be won, which includes (“Prize”):
2 x Money Can’t Buy Experience and Hospitality Tickets to the NRL Grand Final 2025 in Sydney, NSW ($1,450 RRP each). |
Return Virgin Australia Economy Choice airfares for two (2) people (the winner and their nominated companion), from the winner’s nearest Australian capital city to Sydney, NSW departing on 5 October 2025 and returning 6 October 2025. |
Private return transfers from Sydney airport to Sydney accommodation. |
1 x night’s twin-share 4-star accommodation in Sydney with breakfast included. |
Private return transfers from Sydney accommodation to the NRL Grand Final at Accor Stadium. |
$1,000 spending money for the winner. |
Domestic Cover-More Travel Insurance policy for the winner and their nominated companion. |
- The total Prize is up to a value of $7,500 AUD.
- The total Prize value is correct as at the date of preparing these Terms and Conditions and includes any applicable GST.
- The first valid entry drawn will win the Prize (“Winner”).
- The Winner will be contacted by Cover-More by email and phone within 4 hours of the draw date and time.
- The Winner’s details (Last name, first initial and postcode) will be published to virginaustralia.com within 7 days of the draw.
- The Prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by the Promoter. The Prize/s is/are not substitutable, exchangeable, transferrable and cannot be taken as cash, unless otherwise stated.
- The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any variation in the Prize. If the Prize is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize with a prize of equal or greater value, subject to any applicable regulation.
- If the Winner’s nominated companion for the Prize is under 18 years of age, the Winner must accompany the nominated companion during the entire duration of the Prize. The Winner and their nominated companions must depart from and return to the same departure point and travel together. Itinerary to be determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion. The Winner may be required to present their credit card at the time of accommodation check in.
- If the Winner and nominated companion live within 250km of Sydney, NSW, they are not eligible for flights or Travel Insurance. This is not transferrable to cash.
- The Prize may be subject to additional terms and conditions. You should contact the third party for more information.
- Flights included in the Prize are subject to Virgin Australia’s Conditions of Carriage, and other relevant policies, which are located on the Virgin Australia website at www.virginaustralia.com.
- The Prize flights are subject to Virgin Australia’s fare rules which can be found here .Please refer to these rules for information about changing or cancelling your flight booking once TravelManagers advises the fare brand.
- To redeem the flights, TravelManagers will connect with the Winner directly.
- Virgin Australia flights are subject to booking and flight availability.
- If for any reason the Winner is unable to take the flight, and is not entitled to a refund or credit under the relevant fare rules or the Australian Consumer Law, that portion of the Prize will be forfeited.
- The Prize flights will not earn Velocity Points.
- Redeeming the prize is conditional on acceptance of the terms and conditions of travel as detailed by TravelManagers’ Privacy Policy. Winner is responsible for any amendment fees charged by suppliers once booking is confirmed and ticketed. Winner is responsible for any additional taxes and/or resort fees associated with the chosen accommodation, unless otherwise stated. It is the winner's responsibility to organise transport to/from the airport departure/return point.
- The travel itinerary will be organised by Cover-More’s nominated travel agent once winners have confirmed their Name, BSB and Account Number, and have acknowledged that their spending money Prize will be sent via electronic transfer. Cover-More is not responsible for non-fulfilment if incorrect details have been provided by the winner.
- If a Prize has not been accepted by Thursday 25 September 2025 at [11:00am] (AEST), (the “Prize Claim Date”), after making all reasonable attempts, the Promoter cannot contact a winner (or a winner does not contact the Promoter) by the Prize Claim Date, the relevant entry/ies will be discarded and the Promoter will conduct an unclaimed prize draw on Friday 26 September 2025 at the same time and place as the original draw in order to distribute the unclaimed Prize/s.
- Any winner/s in the unclaimed prize draw will be contacted within 4 hours of the draw date and time.
- The winners’ details (Last name, first initial and postcode) will be published to virginaustralia.com within 7 days of the draw.
- Prizes and all elements of Prizes must be taken as and when offered or will be forfeited, and if forfeited, the Promoter will not be liable.
- Where the Promoter, acting reasonably, is of the view that an entrant has breached these Terms and Conditions, it reserves the right to discard their Competition entry.
- The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entrants (including an Eligible Entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and may disqualify any Eligible Entrant who is not eligible to enter the Competition under these Terms and Conditions or who fails to verify the validity of their entry.
General terms
- Eligible Entrants must not, in relation to this Competition:
- tamper with the entry process, as follows;
- engage in any conduct that may jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Competition;
- act in a disruptive, annoying, threatening, abusive or harassing manner;
- do anything that may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or of the agencies or companies associated with this Competition; and
- breach any law; or behave in a way that is otherwise inappropriate.
- The Promoter is not liable for entries, Prize claims or correspondence that are misplaced, misdirected, delayed, lost, incomplete, illegible or incorrectly submitted.
- The Promoter is not liable for any problems with communications networks.
- The Promoter’s decision in connection with all aspects of this Competition is final.
- If this Competition cannot run as planned for any reason beyond the Promoter's control, for example due to software, hardware or communications issues, unauthorised intervention, tampering, fraud or technical failure, the Promoter may end, change, suspend or cancel the Competition or disqualify affected entries/entrants, subject to any necessary approval by the state/territory gaming authorities, as applicable.
- The Promoter is not responsible for any tax implications arising from Eligible Entrants winning a Prize. Eligible Entrants should seek independent tax and financial advice. If for GST purposes this Competition results in any supply being made for non-monetary consideration, Eligible Entrants must follow the Australian Taxation Office’s stated view that where the parties are at arm’s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.
- Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law), the Promoter excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way in connection with this Competition, including but not limited to: any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control);
- any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
- any tax liability incurred by a winner (independent financial advice should be sought); or
- accepting and/or using the Prize. The Promoter is not responsible for any undelivered emails due to an Eligible Entrant’s spam filters or email settings.
- The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any persons who breach any of these Terms and Conditions, provide false information or who seek to gain an unfair advantage or to manipulate this Competition.
- Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes, modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act 2001 (Cth) or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia.
- Personal information is being collected by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting and promoting this Competition, and to assist the Promoter to improve its services. By entering this Competition, an Eligible Entrant consents to storage and use of their personal information by the Promoter in accordance with its Privacy Policy. If the required personal information is not provided, the Eligible Entrant may not participate in this Competition.
- By entering in the competition, each Eligible Entrant agrees that New South Wales law, Australia without regard to conflicts of laws principles will apply to all matters relating to this competition. In the case of a dispute, the Eligible Entrant agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia, except where, by law, such dispute must be brought in the jurisdiction in which the Eligible Entrant is domiciled, or where the relevant law contains mandatory provisions that override such exclusive jurisdiction..
