Cover-More “WIN A SHARE OF 1 MILLION POINTS" Competition Terms and Conditions 

  1. These Terms and Conditions apply to the “WIN A SHARE OF 1 MILLION POINTS” Competition (“the Competition”). By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  2. Entries must comply with these Terms and Conditions to be valid.
  3. The Promoter is Cover-More Insurance Services Pty Ltd ABN 95 003 114 145 of Zurich Tower, Level 14, 118 Mount Street, North Sydney NSW 2060. (“Promoter”). NSW Permit TP/05060, ACT Permit TP 26/00957 and SA Permit TPT26/726
  4. The Competition commences at [12:00am] (AEST) on [11 May 2026] and closes at [11:59pm] (AEST) on [17 June 2026] (“Competition Period”).
  5. The Competition is a game of chance.

How to enter

  1. Entry into the Competition is only open to Australian citizens, residents and eligible work or study visa holders aged 18 years or over who hold a Velocity Frequent Flyer account. (“Eligible Entrants”).
  2. Eligible Entrants must not be an employee of the Promoter or its related entities and must not have any immediate family members who are employees of the Promoter or its related entities. Immediate family means spouse, de facto spouse, child or stepchild (whether natural or by adoption), parent or step parent, brother, sister, step brother or step sister.
  3. To enter the Competition, Eligible Entrants must:
    1. purchase a policy on covermore.virginaustralia.com, virginaustralia.com/au/en/ or Cover-More Virgin Australia Travel insurance products, issued via the Call Centre on 1300 135 769 during the Competition Period (“Eligible Policy”);
    2. be a current Velocity Frequent Flyer member and provide their Velocity membership name and number at the time of purchasing the Eligible Policy; and
    3. be the primary Insured listed on the Certificate of Insurance on the Eligible Policy.
  4. If Eligible Entrants are entered into the Competition but do not wish to participate, they can email [email protected] to be removed from the Competition.
  5. An Eligible Entrant will be automatically entered into the Competition when they purchase an Eligible Policy.
  6. Eligible Entrants can only enter the Competition once.
  7. Eligible Entrants are responsible for their own costs associated with entering the Competition.
  8. Eligible Entrants who use automatically generated entries or multiple aliases, may be disqualified from the Competition.
  9. The Eligible Policy must be active or completed at the time of the Prize draw. If an Eligible Policy is cancelled, refunded or otherwise terminated prior to the Prize draw, the corresponding entry will be deemed invalid.

Prize Draw and Redemption

  1. This is a game of chance and skill plays no part in determining the winner.
  2. The Prize draw will take place on [Thursday 9 July 2026] at 11:00am (AEST) on randomdraws.com.au at Level 14 118 Mount Street, North Sydney, NSW, 2060. All decisions of the Promoter are final, and no discussions or correspondence will be entered into by the Promoter. The Promoter may draw additional reserve entries and record them in order in case an invalid entry or ineligible Entrant is drawn. If a selected Winner no longer holds an active Velocity Frequent Flyer account at the time of Prize allocation, the relevant entry will be deemed invalid and a reserve entry drawn.
  3. There are five (5) Prizes to be won. Each Prize consists of 200,000 Velocity Frequent Flyer Points (the maximum Prize value is $4,680). The total Prize pool is 1,000,000 Velocity Frequent Flyer Points (“Prize”).
  4. The maximum total Prize pool value is $23,400 AUD (excluding GST). The Prize is not exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
  5. The total Prize value is correct as at the date of preparing these Terms and Conditions.
  6. The Velocity Frequent Flyer Points will be credited to the Winner’s Frequent Flyer account by 31 July 2026.
  7. The awarding and crediting of Velocity Points is subject to the Velocity Membership Terms and Conditions, which are located on the Velocity Frequent Flyer website at https://www.velocityfrequentflyer.com/member-support/terms-conditions.
  8. Use of Velocity Frequent Flyer Points is subject to the Velocity Members Terms and Conditions, which are located on the Velocity Frequent Flyer website at https://www.velocityfrequentflyer.com/content/TermsConditions/. 
  9. The Prize may be redeemed for goods and services that are purchasable using Velocity Frequent Flyer Points. The Velocity Frequent Flyer Points will be allocated to the Velocity Frequent Flyer Member’s account only. Value is based on a sample of the Velocity Frequent Flyer Points options that could be obtained by redeeming the Prize through the Velocity Frequent Flyer Points program at the time of this Promotion (as more fully defined in the terms and conditions of the Velocity Frequent Flyer Points program which can be viewed at www.velocityfrequentflyer.com ). The estimate of value is provided for the purposes of licensing this promotion only – the value of the Velocity Frequent Flyer Points will vary depending on how and when they are redeemed by the Winners through the Velocity Frequent Flyer Points program.
  10. The Velocity Frequent Flyer Points can be redeemed through the Velocity Frequent Flyer Points program in several ways, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Velocity Frequent Flyer Points program and Velocity e-Store.
  11. The winner or winners (“Winner(s)”)will be notified within seven (7) days from the draw date, by email where further contact information and details will be requested including, but not limited to, full name, phone, email, and address.
  12. The Winner(s) details (Last name, first initial and postcode) of the main draw or unclaimed prize draw will be published to covermore.virginaustralia.com within 7 days of the draw.
  13. If a Prize has not been accepted by [Thursday 23 July 2026] at 11:00am (AEST), (the “Prize Claim Date”), after making all reasonable attempts, the Promoter cannot contact a winner (or a winner does not contact the Promoter) by the Prize Claim Date, the relevant entry/ies will be discarded and the Promoter will conduct an unclaimed prize draw on [Thursday 28 July 2026] at the same time and place as the original draw in order to distribute the unclaimed Prize/s.
  14. The Prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by the Promoter. The Prize/s is/are not substitutable, exchangeable, transferrable and cannot be taken as cash, unless otherwise stated.
  15. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any variation in the Prize. If the Prize is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize with a prize of equal or greater value, subject to any applicable regulation.
  16. Prizes and all elements of Prizes must be taken as and when offered or will be forfeited, and if forfeited, the Promoter will not be liable.
  17. Where the Promoter, acting reasonably, is of the view that an Eligible Entrant has breached these Terms and Conditions, it reserves the right to discard their Competition entry.
  18. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of Eligible Entrants (including an Eligible Entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and may disqualify any Eligible Entrant who is not eligible to enter the Competition under these Terms and Conditions or who fails to verify the validity of their entry.

General terms

  1. Eligible Entrants must not, in relation to this Competition: tamper with the entry process, as follows;
    1. engage in any conduct that may jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Competition;
    2. act in a disruptive, annoying, threatening, abusive or harassing manner;
    3. do anything that may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or of the agencies or companies associated with this Competition; and
    4. breach any law; or behave in a way that is otherwise inappropriate.
  2. The Promoter is not liable for entries, Prize claims or correspondence that are misplaced, misdirected, delayed, lost, incomplete, illegible or incorrectly submitted.
  3. The Promoter is not liable for any problems with communications networks.
  4. The Promoter’s decision in connection with all aspects of this Competition is final.
  5. If this Competition cannot run as planned for any reason beyond the Promoter's control, for example due to software, hardware or communications issues, unauthorised intervention, tampering, fraud or technical failure, the Promoter may end, change, suspend or cancel the Competition or disqualify affected entries/entrants, subject to any necessary approval by the state/territory gaming authorities, as applicable.
  6. The Promoter is not responsible for any tax implications arising from Eligible Entrants winning a Prize. Eligible Entrants should seek independent tax and financial advice. If for GST purposes this Competition results in any supply being made for non-monetary consideration, Eligible Entrants must follow the Australian Taxation Office’s stated view that where the parties are at arm’s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.
    1. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law), the Promoter excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way in connection with this Competition, including but not limited to: any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control);b) 
    2. any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
    3. any tax liability incurred by a winner (independent financial advice should be sought); or accepting and/or using the Prize. The Promoter is not responsible for any undelivered emails due to an Eligible Entrant’s spam filters or email settings.
  7. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any persons who breach any of these Terms and Conditions, provide false information or who seek to gain an unfair advantage or to manipulate this Competition.
  8. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes, modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act 2001 (Cth) or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia.
  9. Personal information is being collected by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting and promoting this Competition. By entering this Competition, an Eligible Entrant consents to storage and use of their personal information by the Promoter in accordance with its Privacy Policy . If the required personal information is not provided, the Eligible Entrant may not participate in this Competition.
  10. By entering in the competition, each Eligible Entrant agrees that New South Wales law, Australia without regard to conflicts of laws principles will apply to all matters relating to this competition. In the case of a dispute, the Eligible Entrant agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia, except where, by law, such dispute must be brought in the jurisdiction in which the Eligible Entrant is domiciled, or where the relevant law contains mandatory provisions that override such exclusive jurisdiction.
